Release the left stick to hold both sheets. One winch controls their travel; wind moves each sail independently. The jib sits a little farther out than the main.
Keyboard & sailing notes
A / D or ← / → steer.
W / ↑ ease. S / ↓ haul.
Space pauses. R resets. O restores overview.
Xbox View, overlapping rectangles, starts/pauses sailing. Menu, three lines, resets.
Centre both sticks and release View/Menu to arm after a pause or reset. Click the lake to return control after adjusting a slider.
Sail across the wind to start. Haul in to sail closer to the wind; ease when sailing away from it. Turn through the wind with some speed to tack. Haul before a gybe, then ease on the new side.
Head to wind, the boat can drift backwards. The rudder turns the opposite way while backing; use that to fall off the wind. Direction gusts can help but do not guarantee recovery.
The rope marks the practice area. Contact stops the boat from crossing and can prevent backwards steering. Reset returns you to the launch point without changing the current weather.
This is a researched, simplified model, not a measured DF65 performance predictor. Heel is visual and capped; there is no capsize.
